There is a large amount of literature on the function of nerve stimulus as it relates to the body’s expression of hot and cold.  The analysis of the  amount of heat emitted from the body is measured through medical thermal devices to assess for conditions such as: radiculitis, peripheral neuritis, complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), upper motor neuron lesions, multiple sclerosis, ALS, and more neurological diseases.
