Upper Body Views
Surface-temperature images of the face, head, and neck, according to the center’s imaging protocol.

A broader view of your body’s surface temperature patterns. Non-contact infrared imaging for women and men.

Full-body thermography uses an infrared camera to record heat patterns at the skin’s surface across multiple body regions. The images form a visual record of temperature differences that can be reviewed in the context of your health history and concerns.
Unlike a breast-only appointment, a full-body session covers a wider set of views. Breast imaging is included in a full-body appointment. Your center can explain the complete imaging protocol and how your images will be reviewed.
A thermogram shows surface-temperature patterns. It does not produce internal organ images like an MRI or CT scan.
The images may provide complementary information for discussion with your healthcare provider. A thermal finding alone does not establish a diagnosis, and a normal scan does not rule out illness.
Learn How Thermography Works →Full-body protocols may include the following areas. The exact views and services vary by center, so confirm your appointment’s scope before booking.
Surface-temperature images of the face, head, and neck, according to the center’s imaging protocol.
Front and back views of the torso, including breast imaging as part of the full-body appointment.
Additional views of the upper and lower extremities to document surface-temperature patterns across the body.
Your center will explain the process, provide preparation instructions, and answer questions about privacy, reporting, and follow-up.
Complete the patient forms and tell your center about your concerns, previous imaging, and relevant health history. Follow the preparation instructions supplied for your appointment.
Patient Forms →The technician allows time for your skin temperature to adjust to the imaging room, then records a series of views. The camera captures images without touching or compressing your body.
Visit Preparation →Ask when your report will arrive, who interprets your images, and how to share the results with your healthcare provider. Any further examination or testing should be guided by your clinical needs.
If you are considering full-body thermography, discuss how it fits into your care with your healthcare provider. Your health history, symptoms, physical examination, and other test results remain essential.
Previous thermal images may be useful for comparison when imaging conditions and protocols are consistent. Ask your center how it handles baseline images and future visits.

Yes. Breast imaging is included in a full-body thermography appointment. You do not need to book a separate breast imaging appointment.
Follow your center’s written instructions. Preparation may address exercise, heat or cold exposure, and products applied to the skin. See our What to Expect page and contact the center with questions before your visit.
Thermography records surface-temperature patterns; it cannot establish a diagnosis on its own or rule out illness. Continue medically recommended examinations and tests. If breast views are included, thermography does not replace mammography or other recommended breast imaging.
