What to Expect During Your Thermography Appointment
At Breast Thermography International (BTI), we want every patient to feel informed, comfortable, and confident before, during, and after their thermography appointment. Our certified thermographic technicians are trained to guide you through each step of the process, ensuring a professional and relaxing experience from start to finish.

Scheduling an Appointment
Breast Thermography International operates a network of certified thermography centers across the U.S. These locations are staffed by Certified Thermographic Technicians who have undergone extensive medical thermography training through the Professional Academy of Clinical Thermology (PACT).
- To schedule an appointment:
- Find your closest thermography location.
- Call the center directly to book your appointment. Some locations also offer online scheduling.
- Choose from breast thermography, full-body thermography, or targeted imaging.

Upon submission, you will receive patient protocols, which detail what to avoid leading up to your appointment. These include:

- Follow the Protocols:
- Avoid caffeine, alcohol, and smoking at least 4 hours before your scan.
- Do not use lotions, perfumes, or deodorants on areas being scanned.
- Wear loose, comfortable clothing.
- Avoid exercise, sun exposure, or saunas 24 hours before your scan.
- No seat warmers

Appointment & Results
What to Expect at Your Appointment
- A private area for disrobing behind a privacy screen.
- A 10-15 minute acclimation process to ensure accurate temperature readings.
- A technician will review your intake form with you for accuracy.
- Several infrared images will be taken to capture different angles for comprehensive thermal imaging.
The technician will not provide immediate results, your images will be analyzed by PACT Board Certified thermologists.
