Dr. Tracy Schoonover Young is dedicated to a holistic, individualized approach to treating each patient. She has been practicing part time while her boys were small. She is excited to expand her practice to full time again at Devine Chiropractic. She is thrilled to be offering Thermography to the Columbia community!

Dr. Young has always believed in the importance of individualized care for her patients. No cookie cutter treatment plans at our office.  The move to Devine Chiropractic has allowed us to expand treatment options for our patients. We offer a wide variety of treatment options which in addition to thermography include chiropractic care and functional medicine programs.

Dr. Young attended the University of Northern Iowa where she was a two year Letterman on the Panther Swim Team.  Dr. Young experienced numerous injuries, as all athletes do, and as a result, attended Palmer College of Chiropractic.  She graduated with honors and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from there in 1992.  She moved to Columbia, South Carolina and has been in private practice since 1993.
Dr. Young’s interest in sports injuries motivated her to become a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician in 2004.  This post graduate certification entails over 100 hours of study and passing a National Board exam.

In 2017 Dr. Young wanted to expand her ability to help here community by offering clinical thermography. She completed training courses in to be a Clinical Thermography Technician and is currently completing training to be a Chiropractic Thermologist.

Dr. Young is married, with a two very active boys.  She and her family currently reside in Columbia, South Carolina.  Dr. Young is very interested in the community and is Past President of the Logan Elementary PTO, the Board of Directors for the Logan Elementary Foundation, Logan Elementary SIC and a statewide Montessori Advisory Council. She is past chair and vice chairman of the Board of the South Carolina Science Academy and is a member of the Dreher High School Athletic Booster Club. In her leisure time, Dr. Young enjoys baking, photography and digging in the dirt.  She also enjoys reading the latest research in chiropractic and other holistic health disciplines.
